Dear Mrs Proctor, For a long time I have been thinking of writing to you but I have put it off from time to time thinking Mama was going up. I made a apron to send for a Christmas present for you for Mary to take with her. And as she was disappointed now she can’t come just yet she told me. Tomorrow is your birthday. I will send it to you on your birthday wishing you many happy and healthy returns of the day. I have not been very well for a long time, I hardly ever go out now. Vicky came out yesterday for the first time since baby was born. She was looking well and so was baby. They are all well, they are all well here except little Jack. He is still going about cheerful, but you would be surprised to see him poor little fellow. I am grieved to look at him. I think perhaps he will grow out of it as Connie has. Remember me kindly to Mr P also to Christopher. I hope they are well. Wishing you all a happy new year. Emma joins with me in kind love to you all from your loving friend, E W Wingfield |
