(a) Beige silk faille wedding dress in the princess style, small standup collar, centre opening with a double row of 14 buttons, watch pocket at the waistline, front of skirt is ruched and trimmed with bows, fringing and flouncing caught at the back with 14 buttons on each side and rouleaux and fringing, three bows on centre front ruching, the back features a short pleated bustle trimmed with fringing, long pleated train. Bodice lined with cotton. Skirt lined with cotton gauze and wool. Skirt fullness at back is controlled with a series of cotton tapes inside the garment.
(b) Beige silk hat worn with D87.a-1975. Edged with yellow piping and bias trim. The small brim is decorated spring flowers - primroses, leaves and green osprey feathers. A black cord with black domed button is attached to either side of the hat.
