inscribed in ink on accompanying envelope u.r.: 8 ¼ plate negatives to be enlarged (8 underlined) / to as near 8½ x 6½ as possible. / I suppose you'll have to take / a little off the sides of the ¼ plate / size as the proportions are / different. I would rather not you didn't cut them down but if you (not crossed out twice) / have to I've put marks on the / margins as a suggestion where to / cut down. I don't want to pay more than 1/- / a print
