About this work

Isabela Capeto’s work is defined by its insistence on intricate detailing, its handmade quality and its festive patterning and colour. Maena, from the 18-40-43-TP collection, is a fine example of the extravagant detailing involved in her practice. The collection title references a Pantone colour code – the pale blue tone which evokes the sea, heat and the Rio de Janeiro sky for Capeto, reflecting her Rio-based atelier. Maena has fine silk appliqué patchwork and beading embellishment, which are signature elements of Capeto’s designs.
