Physical description
In Round 21 of the 1996 AFL season, the Fitzroy Lions played their last ever match in Victoria at the MCG against the Richmond Tigers: a sad day for football. In 1997 Fitzroy was merged with the Brisbane Bears to form the Brisbane Lions.
