Green jug with a widely splayed rim, the lip partially folded upwards and inwards and rounded, a cylindrical neck, globular body, and a pushed-in tubular base ring with a thickish knob in the centre underneath. A tripple-ribbed handle is joined from the rim to the shoulder. The jug is decorated with two thick horizontal trails, one underneath the rim to strengthen it and the other near the bottom of the neck. The jug is blown, the handle was dropped on at the shoulder and tooled into three prongs which grip the body, then drawn up to the rim, the ribs being formed at the same time by tooling; pontil mark. A duplicate of and a pair with 3941-D3, except: - the trail underneath rim is thicker - the height (including handle) = 23.0 cm - maximum diameter = 12.0 cm
