Physical description
A ceremonial club, flat in section, the handle smooth with animal or bird carved at the end. The carved blade is carved with ribs in vertical groups of 3 fanning out from the concave underside. Linked diamond patterns carved between the groups of ridges. These groups are broken at the centre by other interlinked horizontal ridges. A tihi figure with inlaid pearl shell eyes is carved in profile.
