Physical description
Princess-line, full-length wedding dress of ivory organza. Centre front opening to hipline with 17 metal hooks and hand stitched eyelets, trimmed with a flounce of machine knitted lace. Bodice is shaped using gore panels at the back and darts at the front. It has an attached tablier of pleated organdie trimmed with lace frill, wax orange blossom and a large satin bow at the back. Back and armhole seams decorated with piping. Skirt is decorated with with alternate frills of pleated organdie and lace. Long sleeves are trimmed with pleated muslin, lace, tulle and satin bows. The skirt fans out at the back to a pleated organza and lace trimmed train, decorated with orange blossom. Inside back skirt fullness controlled by series of cotton tapes. The dress is unlined.
