Physical description
An outfit comprised of a brown velvet dress with a fitted bodice and narrow skirt worn with a brown woollen stole tied around the waist. The dress is calf length with three-quarter sleeves eased at the elbow. At the top shoulder, the neckline rises slightly up the neck, to form centre buttoning that begins at the nape and continues through to the hemline. At the centre front the neckline forms a narrow ‘v’. The apron stole is cut in two halves from a brown knitted woollen cloth and finished with brown wool fringes. Constructed to tie over one hip and fall to a point on the other.
