Physical description
(a) Girl's white cotton gauze dress with high neckline edged with lace and blue satin v-shape with fringing. Bodice slightly shaped into waistline. Belt of blue satin trimmed with bows. Full gathered skirt has 'en tablier' trimmed with blue satin. Blue satin ribbon with fringing forming a cross on top of a flounce edged with blue satin trim. Centre back opening lace-up with hooks and eyes and v-shaped blue satin fringing and bows. Pagoda sleeves trimmed with blue satin and bows. Underbodice of cotton trimmed with lace. (b) Petticoat of white cotton with high neck edged with broderie anglaise frill. Centre front slightly shirred. Piped waistline with a frill of broderie anglaise and embroidery. Centre back opening of drawstring neck, four small self covered buttons and drawstring waist. Underskirt of cotton. (c-d) Child's stockings, cream knitted silk with clocks at the side. (e-f) Pair of child's pumps with cream kid uppers, with square toe. White leather with blue silk bow at the throat. Leather sole, no heel and fabric insole. Construction stitched visible along topline (would have originally been finished with ribbon edging).
