Physical description
A Chinese young woman is holding a long smoking pipe in both hands. The pointed fingers with long nails resemble a lotus blossom. Her face is contemplative. The style of painting shows the influence of Western oil painting. The painting shows spots of deterioration where the pigments have disappeared revealing the cloth surface of the painting in a number of spots.
