About this work

Throughout her career, Jackson has experimented with unorthodox silk screening techniques. Her Rainbow gumleaves fabric lengths are screenprinted with an array of fluorescent colours, with Jackson using actual gumleaves as stencils to create the design. The vibrant fabrics highlight the artist’s fascination with rainbows and light, and evoke the colourful leaf litter and changing glow of the bush. Her fabrics formed the basis of many of her Bush Couture collections.
