Frame

One of a number of variants on the Louis XV revival frame. A number of frames in this form appear under the Thallon label when the company was managed by John Thallon's successor, Ted Burman.

Materials

The frame is made from composition ornaments applied to a wooden chassis taking the form of Louis XV revival frames.  The surface is gilded with false gold, matt throughout.  The scotia carries a stippled texture in the ground.

Frame Condition

Good original condition throughout.
