Physical description
An abstract work in which texture and contrasting colour are the key elements, this collage is made up of a central form of crumpled newspaper which has been moistened (probably with Aquadhere), allowed to dry and then painted. The newspaper form is laid down on two areas of painted black ground, over which irregular sized pieces of black and yellow paper are pasted, in some cases, protruding beyond the edges of the support sheet.
