(Woman) The works are from Van Hout's 1995 series Mephitis. It comprises images made by photographing still life constructed from small scale models. The photographs from the series Mephitis show models of figures in tiny domestic interiors. Like his earlier series, van Hout refers to images drawn from television, in this instance, animated children's television dramas such as The Thunderbirds.
