Frame

McCubbin's Study in blue and gold, 1907, was without a frame when the conservation treatment of the painting commenced in 2009, funded by the H.D.T. Williamson Foundation.  The frame for the painting was selected from a group of possible styles, all associated with paintings by Frederick McCubbin. The prototype used for this reproduction was the John Thallon frame from John Longstaff's Lady in Grey (657-2).
