Physical description
The mules have a clear lacquered wooden sole with a sway back heel and a pointed toe section. The uppers are peep toe with an exaggerated tab and consist of a printed colour paper reproduction detail of 'Les baigneuses' 1756-72 by Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806) from The Louvre, which is covered in plastic. This is finished with decorative stitching along the edge and central seam with pale green silk thread. The uppers are fixed to the wooden sole with a row of metal studs and a layer of rubber finishes the sole and heel. There is a partial insole in natural coloured leather which is padded and finished with a pinked edge. Label: Printed red and black on white [JOHANNA PRESTON/HANDMADE DESIGNER FOOTWEAR]
