Physical description
The full-length dress has an open scoop back, and ties around the neck with two fine shoestring straps. The bodice is shaped with two darts at the bustline and the skirt section flares slightly from the waist. The dress is constructed from thirty-three hand-printed multi-coloured silk satin pieces. The fabrics represent a range of different print designs, machine sewn together to form an irregular patchwork. All the outer edges are finished with dark blue silk satin bias binding.
