Physical description
Hand-sewn pieced quilt, (known as tivaevae taorei) basically square shaped. The quilt is made with hundreds of 2.5 cm plain coloured cotton squares forming an intricate pattern. Large squares are each pieced with two large orange lilies and two blue lilies and a red star set on the diagonal. The principle background is formed by squares and triangles in a diagonal pink frame of red and yellow stars, smaller orange and green stars and green and yellow crabs.
