Physical description
This outfit is comprised of three separate pieces. (a) Overdress constructed to float like a cage above the white dress and made from black nylon boning. The boning is formed into 11 concentric hoops, creating a fitted bustline, waist and bell-shaped skirt. The hoops are supported by 6 vertical lengths of boning. The overdress fastens at centre back with 5 concealed metal hooks. (b) Sleeveless full-length dress, fitted to the shape of the body with a V-neckline and deep split at centre back. The dress is constructed entirely from horizontal rows of white hat elastic stitched into position with eight vertical welted seams. The dress fastens at proper right side with a long zip. (c) Cloche-style headpiece constructed from rows of white hat elastic, sewn into position with eight vertical welted seams. Cut lower at the back, the headpiece features a scalloped cut-away section on each side.
