Physical description
Full length coat of two-tone pale brown felted wool. The coat comprises eight vertical panels with external welted seams and is fastened at the centre front by two buttons cut from three layers of the wool and attached by cotton thread. The coat has exaggerated edge details with fabric attached from behind to form a border at the collar, hem, sleeve cuffs and two front pockets. The wide flat collar has rounded edges, cut from two front panels and folded over to show the reverse side of the fabric. The coat is fully lined with three panels of pale green acetate.
