Comoedia illustré was a fortnightly supplement of Comoedia, the leading cultural newspaper in France from 1908 to 1936. Comoedia illustré updated readers on the highlights of Parisian theatre and musical life and featured full-page photography of the latest fashions, often modelled by famous actresses of the Belle Époque (the ‘beautiful era’, 1871–1914).
