As the principal exhibition touring organisation in Australia, Art Exhibitions Australia (AEA) has been bringing international exhibitions to the nation’s pre-eminent galleries for more than 30 years.
Formed by the Federal Government in 1980 as a non-profit company, AEA has worked to showcase the best of world art to the Australian community.
Italian Masterpieces from Spain’s Royal Court follows Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado in 2012.
Its most recent major exhibitions were Monet’s Garden: The Musée Marmottan Monet, Paris, also at the NGV, Turner from the Tate: The Making of a Master which toured the Art Gallery of South Australia and the National Gallery of Australia in 2013 and Picasso Masterpieces at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in 2011.
