Join us for a digital art adventure. The worlds of visual art and digital technology come together as students explore and discuss a diverse selection of artworks and use a variety of iPad apps to respond creatively and develop ideas for digital artmaking inspired by what they see.

This two-hour program includes an iPad orientation session and time at the conclusion of the program for students to export their work .

5th Generation iPad Air devices and Apple Pencils will be provided for participants.

This program is suitable for all students regardless of their experience with Apple devices and digital technologies.

Students will:

  • Develop visual literacy skills through observation and interpretation of works of art and design from different cultural, historical and contemporary contexts.
  • Produce creative responses such as digital paintings, drawings and collages to works in the NGV Collection.
  • Develop confidence in generating unique ideas and concepts through working with digital and virtual technologies.

    We require four weeks notice for all bookings.

    Changes to your booking must be made in writing. Changes can be made up to 14 days prior to your visit. Invoices will be sent prior to the visit. Full program fees will be incurred for late cancellations or amendments.

NGV International holds our Collection of works from around the world, and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia is home to our Collection of Australian art. When submitting your booking request, please indicate which location you would like to visit.

    Study Focus

    Please provide details of any relevant themes and skills your students are learning about at school. While we cannot offer individually tailored programs, our museum educators will consider this information when selecting and discussing works of art during the program.

    We recommend you provide three date options for your program to avoid disappointment. We will do our best to accommodate your first preference, however due to high demand this may not always be possible.
