Experience the essence of French culture and history with the Gallery’s extensive collection of French works. In this educator led session, students will discover famous figures, stories, art movements and cultural traditions through French art and design spanning the fourteenth to the twenty-first century.

This program will be tailored to the level of the students.

Students will:

  • Analyse and interpret French works of art and design from different contexts and times.
  • Reflect on how cultural and historical ideas are expressed through French art and design.
  • Compare and contrast aspects of French culture and history and contemporary life.

Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $10.50 per student

    We require four weeks notice for all bookings.

    Changes to your booking must be made in writing. Changes can be made up to 14 days prior to your visit. Invoices will be sent prior to the visit. Full program fees will be incurred for late cancellations or amendments.

    Please provide details of any relevant themes and skills your students are learning about at school. While we cannot offer individually tailored programs, our museum educators will consider this information when selecting and discussing works of art during the program.
