Visual texts, like works of art and design, offer an accessible method for engaging VCE Literature students with reading and analysing written texts through different lenses. Build critical analysis skills and terminology that will promote stronger analysis in the literature classroom. This virtual program introduces a variety of literary perspectives and applies them to the interpretation of artworks.
This program will be facilitated by an NGV Educator.

- Practice sharing, critiquing, writing and analysis using works from the NGV Collection
- Compare and contrast the different approaches and techniques artists and writers use to create meaning
- Develop strategies for analysing, interpreting and discussing artworks from different cultural, historical and contemporary contexts through different lenses
- Substantiate opinions based on evidence, using the terminology of different literary perspectives.
