Polish born, USA-based artist Agnieszka Pilat presents a new work for NGV Triennial that continues her examination of technology’s influence on contemporary society and considers questions around AI robots as species needing care.
Pilat is known for her series of heroic portraits of technology and for paintings co-created with a quadruped robot named Spot. For Triennial, expanding her creative fascination with robots and technology, Pilat takes a step back and passes her brushes on to her AI-enabled robot apprentices, who have been trained to paint and will be creating new works over the course of the exhibition.
