Enjoy summer in Melbourne’s best backyard

Every Sunday in February, the National Gallery of Victoria will celebrate the best of summer with music, interactive art activities, food and drinks.

NGV Summer Sunday Sessions will transform the lawns of the Grollo Equiset Garden into a vibrant backyard where visitors can listen to music from Melbourne’s top DJs including Edd Fisher, Andras Fox and Simon Winkler while enjoying a range of fun art activities like Drop-by Drawing sessions with artists Arlene TextaQueen, Rob McHaffie and Emily Floyd (all materials provided).

For kids and families, there’ll be self-guided activities plus the chance to participate in making a playful sculptural installation with artist Kathy Holowko.

NGV Summer Sunday Sessions are fully-licensed events and will offer the perfect summer meal from the blazing BBQ grill and roving ice cream seller.
