Born 1968, Kiama, New South Wales; lives and works in Melbourne.
Blanche Tilden completed a Bachelor of Art in 1992, and went on to complete a Graduate Diploma of Art, Gold and Silversmithing in 1995, both at the Canberra School of Art, Australian National University. Recent solo exhibitions include Wearable Cities, Gallery Funaki, Melbourne in 2012, and Fer et Verre, Metalab, Sydney, 2011 and at the Canberra Glassworks, Canberra in 2010. Group exhibitions include The Cicely and Colin Rigg Contemporary Design Award, National Gallery of Victoria, 2006; and Unexpected Pleasures: The Art and Design of Contemporary Jewellery, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne and Design Museum, London, 2012–13. Her work is held in private collections and major public collections nationally and internationally.
