Jane Brown

Born 1967, Al Ahmadi; lives and works in Melbourne. Jane Brown commenced photography in the 1990s. Her first exhibition, A Hopeless Taste of Eternity, was held at Pigment Gallery, Melbourne, in 2009. Two years later she held a solo exhibition Afterlife at the Ballarat International Foto Biennnale. In 2012, her Australian Gothic series was included in CCP Declares: On the Nature of Things at the Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne. She was awarded the Art & Australia Credit Suisse Private Banking Contemporary Art Award in 2013, and was a finalist in the Bowness Prize, Monash Gallery of Art, Melbourne, in 2012 and 2013.
