Eliza Hutchison

Born 1965, Johannesburg, South Africa; lives and works in Melbourne. Eliza Hutchison’s recent solo exhibitions include Kewpie and the Corn Idol, Murray White Room, Melbourne, 2010, and Hair in the Gate, a Biograph, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne, 2012. Her work has been presented widely in Australia and internationally, including in Supernatural Artificial: Contemporary Photo-based Art from Australia, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Japan, 2004; Confounding: Contemporary Photography, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 2012; and Self-conscious: Contemporary Portraiture, Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne, 2012.
