The work of Cassandra Complex is noted for its material diversity, witty use of graphics, theatrical and immersive sensibilities and just a small dose of the trivial. Coming to public notoriety with a Middle Park house masked behind the face of ‘Pammy Anderson’ and the marbled lovenest for Healesville Sanctuary platypuses, the architecture of Cassandra Complex and the persona of the Director Cassandra Fahey continue to enrich the public imagination.

Artist statement:

Something about centrifugal dispersion 

a solid centre with fringes waving into the next phase 

not knowing what is next  not knowing what is around the corner 

not knowing what we want 

but look inside 

look how solid and confident that is 

look inside 

feel the edge in the darkness with a blindfold on and you cant feel anything there 

what is there? 

solidity falls away as we fall backwards off the edges into Alzheimers or drug abuse 

hold my hand maybe 

or maybe not
