Elizabeth Gower

Born 1952, Adelaide, South Australia; lives and works in Melbourne. Elizabeth Gower has been exhibiting since the 1970s. Her survey exhibitions Chance or Design and Beyond the Everyday toured Victoria in 1995–96 and 2002–03, and she has held international solo exhibitions in London, Paris, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Her work has been included in the Biennale of Sydney, 1979; Perspecta, Art Gallery of New South Wales and Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, 1981, 1985 and 1997; Fieldwork: Australian Art 1968–2002, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 2002; and Cubism and Australian Art, Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne, 2009.
