Mark Edgoose

Born 1960, Warragul, Victoria; lives and works in Melbourne.

Mark Edgoose completed a Diploma of Art, Gold and Silversmithing, at RMIT University in 1984. He went on to complete a Master of Arts in 1997 and is currently working towards a PhD. In 2000 Edgoose was commissioned by the Historic Houses Trust of New South Wales to create a centerpiece and candelabra for the dining table of Government House in commemoration of the Federation of Australia. Recent exhibitions include The Cicely & Colin Rigg Contemporary Design Award, National Gallery of Victoria, 2012; Unexpected Pleasures: The Art and Design of Contemporary Jewellery, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne and Design Museum, London, 2012–13; Treasure Room Australia, Galerie Handwerk, Munich, 2010; and by example, Museum of Arts and Crafts, Itami, Japan, 2010.
