Born 1957, Mer (Murray Island), Torres Strait; lives and works in Melbourne. In 2007 Ricardo Idagi held a solo exhibition at the Koorie Heritage Trust, Melbourne, and participated in Power and Beauty: Indigenous Art Now at Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne. Idagi was awarded first prize in the 2009 Western Australian Indigenous Art Awards and won the multimedia award at the 28th Telstra National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Award, Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, Darwin, 2011. In 2012 he was represented in Taboo at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.
