Sally Marsland

Born 1969, Mount Beauty, Victoria; lives and works in Melbourne.

Sally Marsland completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, Gold and Silversmithing, at RMIT University in 1993. Marsland studied at the Academy of Fine Art, Munich between 1998 and 2000. In 2010 she received an Australia Council for the Arts Grant for New Work and in 2012 she received an Arts Victoria Grant which enabled her to travel to Munich in early 2013. Recent solo exhibitions include Everything depends on what we would rather do than change, Galerie Biro, Munich, 2012 and Jewelers’ Werk Galerie, Washington,  2013. Recent group exhibitions include Unexpected Pleasures: The Art and Design of Contemporary Jewellery, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne and Design Museum, London, 2012–13. In 2006 Marsland was the recipient of the Cicely and Colin Rigg Contemporary Design Award, National Gallery of Victoria.
