Drawing influence from concrete poetry, colour field painting and the emergence of internet art, Powerpoints is an ongoing series of unlimited-edition digital works that utilise the tools and aesthetics of Microsoft PowerPoint. Initiated in 2008, and conceived as a lifelong project, this is the first time that the artist has exhibited the full series, which comprises twenty-four existing works complemented by two new installments made for Melbourne Now. Agatha Gothe-Snape’s cross-disciplinary artwork is often directed to exploring emotional and historical responses to the reception of art.
