A self-taught photographer, Christopher Day’s black and white photo-montages for Melbourne Now are surreal, absurd and humorous, cleverly fusing personal and historical narratives with references to pop culture. Faithful to the principles of documentary photography, Day shoots his own source imagery from everyday and personal objects, which he then collages together to create these fantastic psychedelic dreamscapes.
