Lou Hubbard’s EYE OPS comprises a series of video works that show the artist rolling, slicing and arranging a series of eyeballs created – in keeping with Hubbard’s absurdist palette – from marshmallows. Hubbard’s work frequently uses lo-fi materials and employs tactics of humour and absurdity to perform illogical narratives that hint at the layers of anxiety we secretly negotiate on a daily basis.
