Brent Harris is well known for his paintings, prints and drawings that hover between figuration and abstraction. Initiated in 2012, his monotype works are enigmatic and experimental images. These brooding nocturnal scenes evoke a fantastic nether world of supernatural creatures and strange landscapes – full of tumbling figures, ghoulish heads and inky skies – inspired by the artist’s reflection on mortality.
