It’s hard to know where to start with the program of exciting projects which the NGV Shop has been developing in collaborating with a host of Melbourne’s who’s who of designers, artists, jewellers, crafts people, and iconic auteurs of art, for the NGV’s exhibition Melbourne Now.
Knitted vessels by Thread Architecture, the heat moulded polypropylene forms of Emma Davies, an exquisite array of jewellery pieces from Melbourne’s jewellers, including Julia de Ville, Katherine Leopoldseder, Katie Britchford, and Keep Resin, to name but a few.
A top secret project with Third Drawer Down is on the cards. The iconic Melbourne art-tailer, Third Drawer Down will present a selection of unique art products in a mini pop-up space within the Melbourne Now Shop. Stay tuned for further details….
Melbourne design power houses Lightly and Spacecraft will also coordinate their own mini pop-up spaces within the Melbourne Now Shop. On offer, stunning design pieces, with lighting and leather from Lightly, and cushions, necklaces, and style, served up by Spacecraft.
Collective Hotham Street Ladies may surprise you with exciting products from their world of the share house.
The NGV are excited to be in discussions with P.A.M, who are working on an exclusive design for a range of pieces, we are looking forward to t-shirts, t-shirt dresses, and accessories to match.
There will be pockets of wonder throughout the specially designed Melbourne Now Shop within the NGV Shop at both locations.
See crazy coloured plastic bangles, bowls, and cups by Polly, and Mr Dowel Jones lamps, both from designer Dale Hardiman, and a new range of accessories from Melbourne’s very own Nancybird exclusive to the NGV.
