Melbourne Now is a pulse check of Melbourne’s art scene. As you wander through the galleries at both NGV International and NGV Australia you are met with some of our most prominent artists and discover some who will soon be household names. In February and March these artists – and many more – invite you to explore their studios, workspaces and creative places.
The Melbourne Now Open Studios will occur on Thursdays in February & March between 12-8pm. Explore a different creative precinct each week and meet artists and designers in their work space. Here you will be able to ask questions, examine the paint brushes they wield and see works as they are being created.
Over the next two months we are seeking submissions from creatives in each of these precincts to open their studios to the public. This is your chance to be involved with Melbourne Now. We are looking for artists, graphic designers, architects, sound artists, performance creators, photographers anyone that is engaged with creating in Melbourne today. Below are the dates for the Open Studios – we look forward to hearing from you.
