P.A.M. is an evolving collaboration between designers Misha Hollenbach and Shauna Toohey, as well as their friends and creative contemporaries. The label is an expression of the world the duo wish to live in. As well as graphics-led seasonal street collections, P.A.M’s output includes publishing, music, nightlife events and art.

P.A.M. presents two looks for Melbourne Now, combining pieces from its spring–summer 2023 collection Floating Worlds and its autumn–winter 2022 collection Bio/Verse, the latter made in collaboration with Puma.

Floating Worlds is inspired by P.A.M.’s favourite form of poetry, the haiku, exploring the different planes (both material and spiritual) that we inhabit. The collection enca‑ psulates P.A.M.’s playful and often unisex approach to streetwear that manifests in bold psy-active graphic prints and fluid designs that refuse to be constrained or categorised.

Hybrid forms are also manifest in the Nano rider sneaker from Bio/Verse, which transforms a classic Puma trainer into a hiking silhouette, with large flower motifs. Arising from a desire to help preserve biodiversity, the collection incorporates recycled materials and is linked to projects by environmental impact organisations, in this case the installation of biodiversity monitoring technology and support for community habitat management in the Juruá River region of the western Brazilian Amazon.

Hollenbach and Toohey have another work in Melbourne Now, Self portrait with t-shirts, 2022, made from 100 t-shirts from P.A.M’s personal archive.
