In 1883 Monet, Alice and their children moved to the small town of Giverny. Monet was inspired by Japanese art, plants and gardens and created a waterlily pond which he enjoyed so much he kept making it bigger and bigger. Monet built a Japanese bridge across the pond and included it in many of his most famous works of art.
