1901

London experiences a very heavy fog while Monet is there, which he loves, delaying his return home. However, this exacerbates bronchial problems, a legacy of many years spent painting out of doors in all weather. Eager for people to see his new English works, in November he sends four London paintings for sale in Paris, although the paint is still wet.
