Khai Liew talks about the craftsmanship in his design practice. Liew emphasises the importance of creating employment and harnessing skilled labour in ensuring the continuity of craft and design. His work is about the beauty in the material, the construction technique and the form in order to engage the user immediately on an emotional level and evoke a subconscious attraction. Khai was nominated for the Rigg Design Prize 2015.
