Korban and Flaubert discuss their love of metal and how their practice has developed from their time in Germany. The duo describe how their work celebrates metal and acknowledges the finite nature of it, “we try and make something rare and valuable out of dirt”. Their contrasting scultpures in the Rigg demonstrate their experimentation with the emotional affect of different line forms and how they impact your perspective of an object. Korban and Flaubert were nominated for the Rigg Design Prize 2015.

The Rigg Design Prize is generously supported by the Cicely and Colin Rigg Bequest, managed by Equity Trustees.
