After rehearsing for months in front of a camera at home, dancers of The Australian Ballet staged their latest season at NGV Melbourne. Bodytorque.Digital is a series of new dance works by up-and-coming choreographers paired with emerging composers.
This work, Capriccio, aims to show a cycle in which the dancer’s reality and thought process are intertwined in a dance where they run from themself only to find themself at the beginning. Choreographed by Francois-Eloi Lavignac, danced by Benedicte Bemet and with music performed by Orchestra Victoria, this work was filmed in the NGV’s Great Hall and Collecting Comme exhibition at NGV International.
