More than 8,000 tennis balls, 10 days, one place to be in January. David Shrigley’s Melbourne Tennis Ball Exchange came to Melbourne for NGV Triennial EXTRA.

This interactive installation invites you to contribute a ball and trade it for another to take home with you. Over time, the shelves of fresh new tennis balls are replaced by Melbourne’s donated ones – scribbled over, slobbered on, branded and bedazzled.
