Moving Backwards by Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz: QUEER: Stories from the NGV Collection

Are we moving forward or backward? Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz’s video work Moving Backwards contemplates themes of resistance, queer underground culture, activism and space. Five performers from diverse dance backgrounds dance, walk and interact with each other in a choreography that is sometimes even digitally reversed to explore the radical potential of moving backwards.
